This is the easiest way to cure and dry violins and similar wood items! This kit contains 4 fixtures and 4 bulbs. The fixtures come with 5 foot long 120v plugs but can be run at 208v or 240v by replacing the plug. The output per lamp is twice that of a F32 lamp and 50% higher than a F40 lamp, around 45 watts. This is similar to our kits that use the Workhorse 7 ballast, except you don't have to assemble anything. Just place them and plug them in.


Like all SG lamps, the SG-1- 24" has a built in reflector. Regular lamps (shown left) emit light in all directions, but almost all reflectors will absorb the UV instead of reflect it. By putting in a special reflective coating INSIDE the lamp (right), we can reflect the UV back to the project, before it even has a chance to pass through the glass. The result is up to 50% more UV output on your project. Add that to the superior output and patented technology inside, and you have twice the functional power when compared to any ordinary UV lamp. Patented, tested and proven.

Like our parts kit version, this pushes the SG-1-40 lamp at medium power. This makes it perfect for violin refinishing because it doesn't generate too much heat, which can damage the violin. This is designed to dry out a linseed oil finish in about 24 hours, plus age the wood down just enough that it has a natural glow. This means you can add a coat about once a day, speeding up your finish time by many times over. These are 100% tested and proven bulbs, and the only ones designed specifically for this use. If you have a friend using UV to cure violins, odds are that this is what they are using. You can't buy fixtures with this power level in any store, we have them custom made here in the United States, just for Solacure.

System contains 4 specially wired F64 fixtures plus four of our SG-1-40 high output UVA lamps, plus a pair of UV blocking glasses for safety. Lens color may be clear or vary. These exceptional lamps do more than any other brand because of our patented glass that lets more UVA pass through, plus we mix in just a little UVB to make them "sun-similar" to age the wood in the most natural way possible.
