UV Warning

DANGER - ULTRAVIOLET RADIATION

The lamps we sell emit ultraviolet radiation, including UVA and UVB. You must wear protective eyewear when working around energized lamps. Repeated exposure without eyewear will cause damage and can cause blindness over time.

Ultraviolet light, like sunlight, can damage the skin, including wrinkles or sunburn. Exposure to ultraviolet has been linked to skin cancer. Always limit the amount of time your skin is exposed when working with energized lamps. Devices using ultraviolet lamps should be designed so that it will not expose nearby persons. UV lamps used for horticulture should only be energized when humans are not around. If you must work around UV lights, you must use eye wear that protects 100% from UVA AND UVB, and doesn't allow light to come around the sides and enter the eye. Sunblock may help but will remove all risk to the skin.

While these are ultraviolet lamps, they utilize different frequencies than general purpose tanning lamps. As such, they should never be used for the purpose of tanning human skin, as they have not been tested nor FDA certified for such use. Solacure accepts no responsibility for this kind of misuse.
